Let's be honest... nothing can top first year summer. But second year summer was pretty sickass nonetheless. Being in charge rocks hardcore. As does bike trips across Vermont, INSANITY, Canada, waterslide, ironman-ing, and soooo much more. I'm still in denial. My seven years at Camp Walt Whitman have come to a close. Where I'll end up I'm not quite sure. But I know that a large part of who I am today is based upon my summers spent in that random spot where the purple lilacs grow.

I leave for Africa... tomorrow.

The NEARLY DAILY PONDERABLE is "When will I find time to pack?!"

Ack. NO ENTRIES UNTIL AUGUST.
Had a fun last day I guess. Woke up late and went to lunch with Sars at Chat and then hung around in CVS. Mom picked me up and we did the last minute errands, i.e. candy and cameras and whatnot. Saw Jess Madris in Starbucks and we talked for a bit, exchanged addresses, etc. And then went home and got some stuff together and then went to get a haircut. Shorter than the norm but still not too short. Came home and showered and then final dindin at Jewsardi's, saw a zillion people. And here I am, packing for the bus and shiz. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!

Write me a letter, address is on facebook and whatnot.

The NEARLY DAILY PONDERABLE is "Can my summer be even nearly as amazing as last summer?"

I'll try to sneak in an entry tomorrow morning, otherwise, FAREWELL -js

Friday, June 23, 2006

Mofo. Forgot to update. I was on the phone and planning to do so but never really got around to it. Anywhoooo yeah. Today... I woke up around 11:30 and went downstairs and watched some tele, made mac and cheese from Trader Joes for wunch and watched Dane Cook's TOURGASM on HBO. Funnay. Ummm... so yeah watched TV and whatnot and then the Lewen Romeo and Juliet movie production cast and crew arrived around 3 to shoot some scenes at our house, using the foyer and the dining room. While that went on the background, I had a 2 hour guitar lesson and did Tegan and Sara, Sublime, and Sufjan. Quite a mix. Dindin with Auntie Lisa, Liv, Sammy, and Mom at Chat and this woman flipped a shit cause she had to wait for a table. Crazy people. Yeah, came home and scanned shiz and I am planning to upload stuff to my ipod photo for camp tomorrow. CWW Buslists are up. Crazy. Andddd goodnight.

The NEARLY DAILY PONDERABLE is "Who shall I sit with on le bus?!?!"

Omgcampissocloseimfreakingout -js

Thursday, June 22, 2006

Wooptewoop... 2 fucking days?
Umm so yeah. Today. Woke up around noon. Lame. Soooo yeah didn't really do anything today except get lunch with my madge at Stanz and run some pre-camp errands, you know, CVS and whatnot. Showered and took a 4:51 train with the fam + Sammy's friends to le city. We had dindin at this place Bond 45 which was quite good, italiano. Anddd then Wedding Singer the musical. I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Though its not completely sticking with the movie storyline, it was quite funny. The music was catchy. B+. Andddd yeah so some retard tried to turn around the suburban and broke his mirror. Wtf, I know. So yeah we drove home. And here I am.

The NEARLY DAILY PONDERABLE is "Is it worth buying the soundtrack from tonights performance?"

Yo no sé -js

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

Well basically I don't know what is with my premium xanga because my email entries never work. Boooo... ok so summary of the past two days!
YESTERDAY: Woke up and took a 10:26 train into le city and got off at Harlem 125 with Uncle Eric. We walked to Columbia to meet Uncle Kenny and Cori and that was basically a day hike. Actually a good half hour plus the climb to Morningside Heights but whatever. We got some food and then crammed into the backseat of a cab and headed downtown to Rugby. Cori and I took forever. She had two personal shoppers plus me ahahaha. Plus I was unintentionally wearing a Rugby shirt so this lady asked me if some stuff was on sale I was like uhh I don't work here. So basically I was invited to stay the night but I had no clothes or anything so I was instructed to buy stuff. Alright with me, kekeke. So yeah Uncles left and Cori and I explored. We went allll overrrrr. Midtown, Soho, the Village, Uptown, etc. We ended at the Linton's [friends of Kenny] townhouse around 7 ish and its in the most gorgeous location right near the park on the upper west side. We planned to go jogging today so we tried to get clothes, but most stuff was starting to close so we abandoned that plan. We ordered takeout from Rain for din and that was lovely. Then Cori fell asleep at like 10 because she was exhausted so I was awkwardly in the Linton house [did not know the owners until morning] with no one to talk to and no TV and yeah. I wanted to leave but that would've been rude so anyway... Yeah.

TODAY...
Somehow we woke up at 6? Showered and such and then went downstairs for breakfast and met Mrs. Linton who was very nice and rather humorous. We discussed our plans for the day and then set out around 9. We walked all the way to the new apple store on the east side on 5th avenue. Twas nice, perused that and whatnot and basically decided to go all around midtown today. Went to Time Warner Center, bought clothes at J Crew for the day and changed into that, and then basically spent the day around midtown, like I said. Bloomingdales, Henri Bendel, Saks, etc. Got mah mom a Jo Malone candle as a random present. We had a nice [classy] lunch at Tao and ended the day around 4:20 with a 25 minute cab search that ended with us offering to pay extra for an Off duty cab. Quickly grabbed our stuff from Linton's and I left for Grand Central. I'd already missed the 4:40 and 5:10 trains and I was 1 minute late for the 5:35 because of traffic, but the 5:56 was Larchmont first stop which was nice. Grandpa, Natalie, Uncle Eric, and Adam came for dindin. Twas nice, watched the Tracey Ullman on HBO on demand which was hysterical. Andddd now I'ma play scrabble. Online.

The NEARLY DAILY PONDERABLE is "Will Romeo and Juliet filming go down on Thursday?"

ASDfkljsad;fkljas Saturdayyyyy -js

Monday, June 19, 2006

Six effin' days until camp. Dag. That's basically amazing. Ok so... Happy Padres Day!
Woke up around noon [classy] and gave el padre his presents, you know, that whole deal. So yeah, then ate a lil' lunchies and then went on le boat. Saw some big boat in the edge of Mamk harbour and then went tubing a bit. We decided we do not like our current tube as it is fairly painful and not all that fun. So yeah. Ummm... Saw the Tremains on their lil' boat. Then went swimming a bit and then hung around until Auntie Sue and Uncle Eric arrived. Sat outside and ate hours doeuvres and whatnot and dindin inside. Yummeh. Thennnn mah dad, uncle Eric, STORMEH and I went on le boat and we explored the marsh and over near the Tremains and saw theyre huuuge new boat. Freals. Umm... So yeah then dessert which was ice cream pieeeee. And then isketch. And here I am.
CORI IS COMING TOMORROW. WOOPTEWOOP. So we'll skip that... today... woke up at 11 and had a sailing lesson, skippered almost the whole time wooptewoop! Wind was fairly calm and sun was out, lovely day. Dan came over around... eh 1 ish? And we swam and whatnot and then watched tele and then went tubinggggggg. So yeah it was nice out all day and then I didn't do anything tonight which is sad. I was gonna go over to Pkaps but I couldn't get a ride. So I ordered Hunan at like 9:45.
